In recent months, FKB Engineers have been dedicated to develop and manufacture more than 20 tonnes of Stainless Steel gates, Stop Logs and Grids for ITi-7 Sewer Interceptor work, which will be 7.5 km long, underneath Marginal Tietê, as well as collecting channels along the way.

With 3.4 meters wide and 2.65 meters high and up to 18 meters deep, it will be a tunnel which will transport the sewage of 740 thousand people to the treatment plant (ETE) in Barueri.

And among all these equipments there were 3 Floodgates model VCO19 DN
2000x2700mm, which will be submitted to 13 MCA, pressure that results in more than 70 tons of force on each Floodgate and an average flow of approximately 648,000 liters per minute in each floodgate.

Such is the responsibility entrusted upon us that the largest Sanitation Company in Latin America gave us no room for any detail to pass by without its evaluation and approval, in order to ensure the perfect operation.

The floodgates in question were checked and evaluated in all calculation reports, and submitted to the final inspection with hydrostatic test, presenting 100% satisfactory and surprising result, even under 110% of the maximum pressure.
