Multinational steelmaker seeks FKB for another challenge: to develop valve for coke gas line, since the current valves were not meeting their needs, presenting binding and leakage.

Coke gas is generated in the coke line, a process where the coal is cooked in order to expel volatile matter and create the coke, the most efficient and clean burning substance used as fuel in the blast furnace. In this process, besides this gas, the tar and other chemical products are also formed, which made the project even more challenging.

The Brazilian maiden, once again, faced the challenge, developing and manufacturing High Performance DN 40" Through-conduit knife gate valve, with double seat and cleaning system. This development required of the entire FKB team 90 working days of hard work, which resulted in a valve 6 meters long, 1.6 meters wide and 3.3 tons.
