A Measure often taken by large companies, the comparison between products of the same category from different manufacturers is applied in the most diverse projects as a way to find the perfect balance between quality and economy.

This time it was the FKB Knife Gate Valves’ turn, which had their performance put to the test in projects of two big multinationals, next to Knife Gate Valves known world-wide.

The first challenge occurred in a Steel Industry, which installed FKB Knife Gate Valves, model VGU-11 (Flanged) DN16 in a Slag Pumping line of a Blast Furnace, alongside Knife Gate Valves of Greater World Renown.

The high performance of FKB Knife Gate Valves has been proven, requiring replacement of the Spare Kit only after 25 months of continuous operation.

The second challenge was in a Mining industry, where the product installed was the VGU-05 (Wafer) model in the Hydrocyclone of Iron Ore Pulp.

This challenge has been in continuous operation for 18 months, along with American Knife Gate Valves of great appreciation, and once again the FKB product has shown its high performance, as it has not presented any forecast for exchanges.

The FKB has Knife Gate Valves for the most severe "Slurry" applications with a pressure range of up to 740 psi (50 bar), again proving to be a rising power in the valves and equipments market.
