Water is an essential natural resource for the survival of all species on Earth. In the human body it acts, among other functions, as a vehicle for the exchange of substances and for the maintenance of temperature, representing about 70% of our body mass. It is impossible to imagine what our day-to-day life would be without it.

To make water available for our own use, Water Treatment Plants (ETAs) carry out various processes for cleaning and decontaminating this valuable resource. This super cleaning operation caters to most of the country's population.

In 2013, the FKB designed and supplied semi-lug Knife Gate Valves for an ETA in the region. The equipment, with 500mm of passage, body in cast iron and internal of stainless steel, until today, present perfect operation. With pneumatic actuation, the valves were installed by our team at the end of the washing line of the Station filters. This process was followed by the customer, in addition to supplying the complete product (equipment, supports and drive), FKB excelled by complementing its work offering installation, assembly, commissioning, start-up and project documentation. It is worth mentioning that the knife gate valves have better performance compared to the gate and butterfly valves, commonly used in these applications in previous times.
